New and updated biosecurity standard operating protocols for
service providers who visit poultry farms
Five new biosecurity standard operating protocols (SOP) have been developed for
service providers who visit poultry farms. Eighteen SOPs have been updated in
an easy-to-read format which reflects current biosecurity practices for service
providers.
These standardized protocols have been developed by working groups
of service providers so they reflect the actual working processes of service
providers with biosecurity practice built in.
Copies of the Biosecurity Protocols for the Poultry Services Sector Handbook,
specific protocols, one-page checklists, and the recommended disinfectant list
can be downloaded here. Printed copies and
laminated one-page checklists can be ordered by calling eBiz Professionals at

Funding for this project was provided in part by Agriculture and Agri-food
Canada through the Agriculture Adaptation Council CanAdvance program. The
existing protocols that have now been updated were originally funded through
the Poultry Industry Disease Financial Risk Management Program.
